SUMMARY OF POSITION

Take effective actions to keep supplier with good quality performance.
Effectively and efficiently manage suppliers of mature and complex manufacturing systems for electric/electronic parts/commodities such as, including but not limited: ODM headsets, PCB, PCBA, batteries, AC adapters, transducer, and ASIC and ALIC devices.

JOB SUMMARY

The Supplier Quality Engineer supports the quality activities related to suppliers and vendors. The SQE performs the vendor survey and audit, and they are the main contact of Plantronics Quality issues for suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct the general supplier/vendor survey and manufacturing audit.
2. Work with Plantronics suppliers for the Quality related issues.
3. Generate the DMR/SCAR to supplier for the defects and review the corrective actions with suppliers.
4. Review the supplier related quality issue from production defective parts and follow up with suppliers.
5. Management the suppliers Quality performance and conduct the improvement activities.
6. Support RoHS, Conflict Mineral compliance of the materials.
7. Sourcing Inspection and handling of the rejects.
8. New part evaluation and approval.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
More than 8 years’ work experience; 5 years’ work as SQE in electric field;
Below work experience is given priority: foreign-invested company; battery field, headset/earphone.

DESIRED COMPENTENCIES
1. Excellent communication skills
2. Strong English skills are a must, including fluent oral English
3. Excellent teamwork spirit and skills, good personality skills to get along well with other PLT associates
4. Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems and tools, such as SPC and Six Sigma
5. Strong at problem solving and diffusing urgent and complex issues
6. Supervisory experience or possess skill as a plus
