Position: V2X

Division/Department: Research & Development

Location: Beijing

Main goals and objectives:

This position ensures the following main objectives within Volkswagen Group Research China:

? Responsible for managing local projects on vehicle-to-X-communication and driver assistance systems (DAS) in cooperation with Volkswagen Group Research in Germany

? Stakeholder of Volkswagen Group Research in this area in China, e.g. to C-ITS and IOWA as well as to RIOH, SAE to track the Chinese development of V2X and DAS deployment

? Protection of Volkswagen Group interests in the V2X field and report about latest developments to Group Research and Volkswagen Group brands

? Organizing of workshops with industrial and academic partners

? Project leader of joint projects with universities and local industrial partners on Chinese requirements for Vehicle-to-X-Communication

? Speaker in national and international conferences about Vehicle-to-X-Communication, Intelligent Transportation, Internet of Vehicles, and related areas

Your Responsibilities:

? Responsible to develop and manage local projects about vehicle-to-X-communication and driver assistance systems

? Stakeholder of Volkswagen Group Research in the V2X area in China, e.g. to C-ITS and IOWA as well as to RIOH, SAE to track the Chinese development of V2X and DAS deployment

? Protection of Volkswagen Group interests in this field and report about latest developments to Volkswagen Group Research in China

? Organizing of workshops with industrial and academical partners

? Project leader of joint project with universities and local industrial partners

？ Maintenance supervision of the vehicle from K-EFFI to show V2X functions in China

？ Preparation and execution of Vehicle live presentations

？ Cooperation in Chinese research projects to develop China-fitting functions and so-called ?first day applications“

？ Investigation of political and industrial interfaces and overview about Chinese stakeholders in the go-alive-phase of V2X technology in China as well as the business model to run the technology in China

？ Support V2X activities in the Guangdong Province depending on activities of the VGC board with regard to Guangdong Province government relations

? Speaker in national and international conferences about Vehicle-to-X-Communication, Intelligent Transportation, Internet of Vehicles and related areas

Our Requirements:

Necessary education:

? Preferred Ph.D. holder, Engineering background in IT, electronics, telecommunications

Personal skills:

? Problem solving and analytical thinking, good communication skills, teamwork

Working experience (in years):

? 2-6 years (Ph.D. phase abroad)

? Project management experience

? English skills

? Experience in international work environment

Volkswagen Group China
