a. Managing the selected top accounts, to achieve the pre-defined sales targets
b. Follow and carry out the sales strategy including the customer network
c. Overall Turnover / Market Profitability responsibility / wining market share
d. Responsible for new business development, projects acquisition, relationship building
e. Constant feedback about the activities at the customers to the responsible SE leader
f. Team Selling with Application Engineer / Technical specialists / Networks and related customers
g. Follow up and drive projects with the customer and the internal project team as a face to the customer
h. Drive volume business with the focus product range

a. Summary of job contents
ELA is one of the focus industry segments of Festo globally. Especially in GCN, ELA is a key industry segment with high potential and key for the success of Festo. Most of the global electronic production is taking place in GCN, carried out by the main EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services Companies). This companies usually have internal machine building as well as a wide network of OEMs. Beside the EMS, the ELA industry also if focusing on Semicon businesses (front end and back end), Hard disk drives, Flat panel and Solar, Battery production as well as small part assembly non electronic.
The characteristic of this industry’s within ELA are similar. Especially the need for fast reaction time, a dynamic market and size of the customers, request a strong business sense.

As a Sales Engineer, daily customer visits are the basis of the job. Understanding the customers, their needs and the industry need to lead into component sales and detection and selling of projects.
The industrial trend of automation in GCN is driving the needs of the customers. Festo as a partner for automation with the product portfolio is a good fit to this trend.

We are looking for candidates who can sell technical solutions and who are able to discuss about benefits of the solutions. Therefore a strong technical background, related to the products of Festo, is a must for a suitable candidate. Sales must be able to detect opportunities and co-work with the engineers in finding the best solution. Finally strong negotiation skills, supported by open and good communication skills, will lead the candidate into a technical sales.

We are not looking for sales candidates without technical skills, which without any drought will lead into sales by price.

An ideal candidate has strength in at least one of the product fields of Festo (pneumatic, electric drives, automation solutions) and is able to be a partner for automation to our customers for state of the art automation equipment.


b. Key accountabilities
Knowledge:
? Analyse the structure of the customers and generate new sales prospects
? Develop new contacts and business opportunities within customers business network
? Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from daily activity and the SE work
? Establish and maintain good relationships
? Exploring new projects and continually provide technical support
? Present and sell company products and services
? Coordinate and support local marketing activities
? Work out forecast and demand planning with the customer and feedback into the Festo organization
? Constant technical promotion to the customer
? Profile of the candidate is showing strong background in sales and technology
? Structured personality to coordinate multiple projects in parallel
? Ability to work out the basic technical concept in cooperation with the customer
? Pneumatic and /or Electric drives background necessary
? Native Chinese with at least basic English skills (reading and spoken)
? Basic project management skills in order to drive projects with the customer, coordinate the project team and acting as the face to the customer
? Represent Festo on exhibitions
