3.0 Job description
Global supply chain
Build up China sourcing team and provide leadership and management for daily operation like sourcing, quotation, biding activities in China to support global LCC target and operations
Set up and develop China sourcing process, link with global supply chain process
Identify potential cost reduction opportunity in China and implement cost reduction projects
Lead team to search, identify, evaluate potential suppliers according Edwards requirement
Work with team to manage suppliers to meet division requirements on cost, lead time, inventory and on-time delivery, etc
Manage sourcing team well working with global supply chain team members and other cross-function team, handle internal relationship with finance, logistic and operation
Manage China sourcing team improve the capability of whole team
Quality:
Developing China supplier quality control process and monitor the process followed strictly
Lead team to control China supplier quality and continue improvement, to make sure the qualified parts are deliveried to Edwards different regions
Lead team to do supplier formal audit (SESPA), set up and monitor regular audit schedule for mass production suppliers, monitor scorecard of supplier performance
Lead team to monitor supplier rejects, root-cause investigation and 8D CAR report to close
Review supplier quality with team, set up improvement plan for suppliers quality continue improvement
Lead team to seek cost reduction opportunity for China operation.

4.0 Dimensions:
Area of coverage: global supply chain function in China

No. of direct reports: 7(global supply Chain China team)
Total plants: UK, Czech, Korea, Japan, US, China EVE (IPD)
Revenue: Low cost country sourcing in China, annual delivery 26 Million USD for export delivery, 5 million for local spend
5.0 Knowledge Skills & Experience Required
University degree in commercial or engineering discipline
Min. 5-year experience in global supply chain function
Detailed knowledge of all modern world-class manufacturing/supply chain methodologies and processes
Have good experience to deal with external suppliers from technology and commercial aspects
Experience to manage sourcing and purchasing team across different function and handle internal relationship with finance, logistical and operation
Well organised personally with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Capable of networking across the Company at the different levels
Self-motivated, smart, natural negotiator, rigid on discipline, self-starter and a team player
Good English in reading & writing and speaking
Good working knowledge of MS office software especially PowerPoint and Excel.
International experience preferred
6.0 Principal Accountabilities
Seek cost reduction opportunities in China, liaise with commodity managers in UK, Korea, Japan, Czech, to set up cost reduction project.
Establish supplier selection, evaluation criteria according internal standard and implement those standard in China
Benchmark supply market in each individual commodity in China to decide the most suitable supplier
Negotiate price and contract with supplier in the interest of Edwards to maximize benefit
Maintain and develop strong relationship with potential and existing suppliers
Explore and setup best supply route from China to overseas operation to keep supply chain robust
Ensure quality assurance systems are set up and maintained to assure the quality of goods supplied from China
Establish strong t team in China to help solve issues related to components sourcing
Manage local purchasing team and develop capability of each team member.

Overall responsibility for the sourcing, purchasing and logistical issue related to supply from China to the company's global operation
