Qualifications:
?Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or equivalent
?3 to 5 years pharmacy work experience or < 1 year pharmacy work experience in joint venture or international medical institution
?Licensed pharmacist preferred
Knowledge:
?Knowledge of government laws pertaining to drugs, narcotics and pharmacy practice.
?Knowledge of commonly used drugs and pharmacy inventory
Responsibilities:
Primary Duties-
?Reviews and interprets prescription orders and verifies accuracy and completeness of patient labeling and input into pharmacy computer.
?Evaluates and resolves real or potential prescription related problems.
?Provides patient consultation on prescription and OTC medications.
?Establish a pharmaceutical care practice in conjunction with physicians and other care providers.
?Reviews inpatient orders and screens them for possible duplications, interactions.
?Dispense medication to hospitalized patients
?Follow and understands all pharmacy policies and relevant hospital policies.
Other Duties Performed-
?Ordering inventory and doing periodic inventory check.
?Checking for expired medications.
?Performing monthly narcotic inventory.
?Take part in evening, night and weekend shifts. Participate in holiday shifts if needed.
?Compounding products for the department stock.
?Provide assistance and training to junior pharmacist step 1 and pharmacist assistants.
