United Nations Children’s Fund is seeking a

Nutrition Officer

at NO-A level for a fixed-term appointment in Beijing

UNICEF China Nutrition Programme works with government to share international experience and best practice on maternal and child nutrition support policies, to develop guidelines and tools for high impact interventions to address stunting and micronutrients deficiencies, and to promote breastfeeding and healthy life styles. Particular focus is on equitable delivery of services and strengthening of surveillance systems, data collection and reporting.

We are now seeking for a nutrition professional to join to support in the implementation of high impact interventions in rural counties to improve maternal, infant children and adolescent nutrition and health.

Main Responsibilities
? Provide technical assistance in the design of nutrition intervention programmes
? Collect and analyse data for nutrition programme planning, management, monitoring and evaluation
? Undertake visits to UNICEF supported sites, assess local conditions and resources
? Communicate with counterparts on project feasibility and effectiveness
? Select and compile training and orientation materials
? Analyse and evaluate programme implementation reports
? Collect and document best practices for learning purposes
? Generate evidence for advocacy to develop nutrition policies
? Attend technical cooperation meetings, prepare presentations and undertake follow-up actions related to programme implementation

Qualifications
? Master’s level university degree in nutrition, nutrition epidemiology, international health and nutrition, nutrition and public health, or other related field
? At least two years of professional working experience in nutrition, maternal, infant and child health, nutrition care, or public health
? Experience working with the UN or other international development organization is an asset
? Fluency in English and Mandarin
