PURPOSE OF POSITION:
· Electrical Engineering development, integration and application of new electronics products with a focus on electrical design, integration and application as part of the Gentex global electrical engineering team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Function as a central point for information and support for the Sales team for engineering product definition.
· Coordinate with global Electrical Hardware and Software Requirements Engineering to meet customer specification requirements specific for China.
· Coordinate tests with global Electrical Hardware & Software Project Engineering to assure electronics hardware and Software integration for China.
· Interface with Mechanical Engineering, Microelectronics Assembly, Electronics Assembly, Final Assembly, Applied Materials, and Quality departments to support the execution of Electrical HW and SW Engineering products into applications for China.
· Participate in Product Launch Teams as required in both China and the USA.
· Support Program Management, Product Marketing, and Sales with required technical information to help drive product sales in China.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Co-Execute with global Corporate Engineering department located in Zeeland, Michigan USA:
o Electrical engineering design of circuits to meet customer requirements
o Electrical engineering design of circuits with electrical component engineering to confirm component quality and validation.
o Worst case circuit analysis as a requirement for all schematic designs as part of the hardware requirements for all launch products.
o Ensure that design guidelines are created and maintained for the China market.
o The development of test requirements to confirm the quality of electronic components, circuits, and products to meet requirements unique to the China market.
Maintain knowledge of company electrical HW & SW, mechanical, test, and manufacturing practices and engineer consistent with them.
Function as the key liaison between Corporate and China office at it relates to electrical related technologies, strategies and corporate direction
Avoid company politics and promote cooperation and consensus teamwork for the common good of all employees across all departments.
· Performs other miscellaneous duties as required.

POSITION DEMANDS:
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
· Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred
· Detailed ongoing current knowledge of electronics components, software and systems.
· Ability to process through networking with technical focus areas in the creation of systems.
Strong communication, documentation skills, and technical writing ability.
Global travel as required to support technology development, sales activities and customer communication.
Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English. Both written and oral communications
