Responsibilities & Roles
1. Manage and lead activities to improve supplier quality, delivery, and performance for the assigned commodity area.
2. Drive the supplier complaint management according to the defined escalation levels, lead the issue resolution and root-cause analysis processes associated with supplier quality issues.
3. Lead Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) qualification activities
4. Utilize standard Tenneco processes to audit new suppliers, and to drive suppliers to improve according to action registers
5. Lead the supplier performance metrics in support of the bidding list.
6. Lead / Assist with roll out, training and implementation of global supplier quality procedures for suppliers and China plants.
7. Support efforts to fully realize cost saving opportunities
8. Maintain required documentation and files.


Requirements
1. Demonstrate the use and understanding of APQP is desired
2. Must have demonstrated understanding of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processes and implementation
3. Fluent using basic quality tools
4. Execution - persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational and problem solving skills
5. Must be willing to work in a results based, fast paced environment, with minimal supervision
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in engineering or similar
2. Minimum of 5 years of work experience relating to mechanical/electrical components, such as machining, stampings, sinter metal parts, plastic, casting
3. Domestic and international travel is required
4. Working knowledge of QS, TS and APQP standards and processes
5. Background in Statistical Process Control, capability analysis (Cp, Cpk)
6. Capable to manage complex projects
7. Fluent English in speaking and writing
