Position Title: VPT_ Supplier Quality Engineer (14358BR)
Role (Purpose of the job)
The SQE is actively involved in all supplier quality activities from supplier selection, supplier development thru on-going performance monitoring.
Responsibilities of the Role
? An active member in the supplier selection and business award decision
? Be responsible to carry out the Quality Assurance activities in the frame of on-going projects in accordance with documented Powertrain guidelines and instructions
? Manage portfolio of suppliers as assigned by Supplier Quality Development group manager
? In charge to communicate the quality targets and quality requirements to suppliers and make sure of their respect
? Manage and challenge the overall quality performance of suppliers delivering any Volvo locations
? For parts in production, be responsible to steer supplier improvement and request corrective actions
Required Competencies
? Strong knowledge of Aluminum Casting and propeller-shafts
? Capacity to work in a multicultural team
? Good communication and negotiation skills
? Good analytic skill and logical way of thinking
? Committed to customer satisfaction
? Self driven
? Travel to suppliers frequently in China and abroad
Minimum Education & Experience Required
? University degree required, Master of Science / Engineer (SQE is supplier, part and process oriented)
? Minimum 3 years experience in automotive APQP / PPAP quality process, ASQ CQA preferred with additional ASQ training considered
? Chinese and English language skills compulsory (Japanese is a plus)
Additional Qualifications
? Knowledge on Powertrain components and their manufacturing process
? Strong knowledge of Aluminum Casting and propeller-shafts
