Position Title: GTT-VPT-Axle Buyer (25021BR)
Job Description
Within axle purchasing team:
Buyer will be responsible for axle components portfolio
Core and requested competencies:
? Support product developments and modifications in terms of:
-Suppliers' involvement, product prices and procurement lead-times according the GDP, follow supplier project deliverable according to project needs.
-Help to implement the quality assurance plan for the item.
? Perform the activities required for purchasing items as follows:
-Perform negotiations
-Optimize the total production costs together with the various Depts. (Quality, logistics, plants...).
-Handle purchasing requisition
-Prepare tools investment files.
? -Work with the global business approach within the responsibility
? -Search for opportunities to improve the items cost and take action to implement them.
? -Contribute to global strategies (knowledge about the global supplier market) and actions plans.
? -Contributes to the achievement of the global KPI's by implementing strategies and cost saving activities.
? -Manage the working relationships with suppliers as follows:
-Solve quality, delivery, cost problems (e.g. invoicing, recovery of warranty).
-Participate in SEM evaluations and contributes to formalize the objectives.
-Suppliers host for some suppliers under the delegation from GCM if needed
? -Update the files and purchasing database for his/her portfolio.
? -Work in accordance with the Purchasing processes, the Volvo Way
Minimum Education & Experience Required:
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent
? 5 years within Purchasing
? Fluent in English
