职位描述
The project manager is accountable for the successful delivery of the project and responsible for ensuring that the business benefit is delivered. This means delivering the project to scope, time, cost, resource and predefined quality. The project leader acts directly on behalf of the sponsor to take forward the business case and is the focal point for customer needs. The project leader manages team members, ensuring that the requirements of all project stages are met and demonstrating Volvo leadership values and behaviours.
The project manager is accountable for continually reviewing the ongoing validity of the project and recommending continuation or cessation, as appropriate, to the sponsor.
Roles and responsibilities
The project leader acts on behalf of the sponsor and/or steering committee to:
· Lead the project through its stages and acquire sponsor and steering committee approval to proceed into the next stage
·Initiate the project and agree on the project charter
·Ensure clarity of and communicate project roles and responsibilities (especially if no business model exists)
·Manage project risk
·Ensure that project decision-making processes are robust
·Obtain appropriate authorization for any changes in project scope
·Develop the project plan and own the plan-do-review process
·Execute the plan through sign-off, ensuring effective business partici¬pa¬tion through other roles
·Review the project and communicate the lessons learned, white book
·Manage the handover process and close the project.
·Cost follow-up and report to Project System and VGRE Management
·Conduct annual property audits for the Volvo owned properties and issue reports for remedial action accordingly
·Maintain and provide relevant property information, technical data and drawings to support to each site
Main competence requirements:
·At least 10 years of experience within construction/building industry, working for a general contractor/construction management etc. performing medium to larger scale projects.
·Knowledge of leases, contracts and construction practices. Work includes close cooperation with other functional areas within the organisation and customers, suppliers.
·Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
·Excellent written and oral Chinese and English skill
·The position includes travelling to some extent
·Education: Master of Science in Civil & Structural Engineering or Mechanical engineering, building installations
