Role (Purpose of the job)

·Working as the key person to design and guide implementation of Windows Solutions in Asia Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities

Windows Solution Designer

·Responsible for that the IT infrastructure solution fulfills the agreed functionality and quality requirements given by the customer and in alignment with business policies and standards i.e. the enterprise architecture.

·Responsible to identify influencing factors for the infrastructure solution(e.g. security, integration, network availability requirements)

·Responsible to create an architectural description including reasons for architectural decisions and considerations

·Responsible to ensure that the solution supports the business policies, strategy and stakeholders concerns.

·Responsible to secure the production environment and ensure that the solution is reusable, standardized and efficient.

·Responsible to describe and document the infrastructure architectural solution.

·Responsible for communicating the infrastructure solution including constraints and tradeoffs to concerned stakeholders.

·Responsible for ensuring that the implemented solution complies with given specifications and customer quality requirements.

·Authorised to make decisions which fall within the tasks / boundaries defined in the assignment.

·Authorized to suggest alternative solutions and point out deficiencies related to quality requirements in projects to project managers as and when necessary.

Main competence requirements

·General Windows knowledge requirements

Strong knowledge with Windows

Server deployment and/or application server consolidation/rationalization on Windows platform

5+ years experience creating, troubleshooting and supporting Windows.

3+ years in a Windows Infrastructure Architecture role, with some focus on Storage, technical designs and implementations

5+ years working with Windows Operating Systems, Clustering

5+ years working experience with a broad range of Infrastructure solutions

Experience with analysing and documenting Technology solutions and mapping them to business TCO and ROI Analysis

·Desirable

Analysis and design experience on complex projects

Systems integration experience in complex legacy environments

Project Management, ITIL, Six Sigma, CobiT and other processes, controls or methodologies are desired

·Experience with Financial Budget and Product calculation

·Good spoken and written English
