Span Of Control (Immediate subordinates, Category and Number)
In charge of the business intelligence (BI) solution management team, including generic solution design, reporting template and visual design, business analysis and custom requirement analysis, on-going service and user support and selected technical delivery staff
Job Summary (Purpose of the job)
As the leader of the BI solution team, under the guidance of Principal, the major responsibility is to lead the team to design and develop prototype and ultimate solution delivery of performance measurement reporting solutions, including both syndicated BI solution applicable across clients and customized solutions accommodated to specific client needs, with a standardized and clear commercialization pathway.
Major Duties Performed (Main Functions)
Team leadership and people management
? Recruit, lead and motivate the team to achieve the vision and goals
Solution design and management
? Reconcile and distill diversified client requirement into common needs as input for common generic product design
? Define reporting KPI’s, design reporting template and determine enabling technologies
? Design the user interface, information navigation flow and visual graphics
? Develop commercialization pathway, including report catalogue and pricing sheet
? Provide sufficient documentation to internalize design details and knowledge
Requirement and Business Analysis
? Review and analyze specific client problems/requirements and address with both standardized reporting solution or customized approach
? Develop project proposals and drive business development process and outcome
Liaison with other teams
? Liaison with Account Team and Marketing to promote the solution and service together
? Liaison with Product Team to develop standard report for Senior Management Review
? Liaison with Client Services team on customized needs and quotation support
? Liaison with GTSO & Production team on data supply and IMS Analysis Manager
Technical deliver coordination
? Coordinate with the delivery team on the development and quality control of prototype demo, ultimate solution as per design or project requirement
? Manage and coordinate project execution, timeline and resources when needed
? Take charge of regular delivery and user support capabilities
Other sales and service support requirements
? Support Principals on business development and service offering development efforts
? Other assignments as designated by Principal or other senior leaders
Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:
? Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer, MIS, maths, statistics, business, finance. Undergraduates from top-tier universities preferred.
? 6+ years general experience, 3+ years experience at healthcare companies, preferred at SFE, BI, market research, sales operations, business analysis, business planning functions
? Skilled at data analysis, KPI framework and definition, performance reporting, visual data presentation, user interface design, business process definition and optimization
? Ability to reconcile requirement from multiple sources and consolidate into common ones
? Worked with common BI technologies, including Excel VBA, SQL, Qlikview, Roambi, .NET
? Strong communication and people management skills, able to guide junior members
? Good project timeline and resource management, in coordination with other teams
