Job Responsibilities:
- Response to validate the system and silicon for internal design teams.
- Perform the Software and Hardware level test using external and internal AMD test tools;
- Analyze the failures found in testing and support the internal design team to find the root cause of the issues;
- Assist validation team in improving the validation methods and procedures.
- This person should be able to, with limited direction, test software/drivers/hardware, for according to test plan steps and details. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of BIOS responsibilities, hardware troubleshooting, debug experience and PC architecture.
- Should be able to work with AMD's software engineers to assist in validating BIOS/UEFI code.
- Should be able to work with AMD's software engineers to assist in validating AMD silicon and other hardware.
- Should be able to work with AMD's software engineers to assist in validating AMD drivers.
- Should be able to reference design specifications and manuals for AMD's system when testing.
- Should be able to work with AMD customers to define AMD's test procedures, while meeting customers’ requirements.
Job Requirements:
Education& Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree of electrical engineering/computer science/computer engineering;
- Good written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese. CET-6 will be a plus
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and effectively to meet time requirements.
- Understand x86 Architecture. Know PC HW components
- Have basic scripting capability (Perl, python, ruby, and etc.)
- Familiar with Windows/Linux system management.
- Capability of operating Oscilloscope and other electrical test tools will be a plus
