Internship Software Engineer (Application fields: map data compiler development and production)
As internship software engineer for map compilation and production you would work along our tool chain to compile raw map data in several intermediate steps into an optimized navigation map data using our EB map data compiler. You would work with map updates up to four times per year and for markets in the whole world. Every new map data brings challenges with it to maintain and extend our map compiler. Production would require to execute the compiler based on different raw data and configurations, we well as monitoring and testing intermediate and final created maps. Take the opportunity to start in the beginning of a growing team.
Main responsibilities:
? Software design, development, implementation, integration, test and re-designed according to customer requirements.
? The development of server-based software, mainly in the field of navigation map data compilation.
o Bug analysis and fixing
o Implementation of new feature and larger bugfixes
? Support productions by
o Set up compiler environment, building map compilation tools
o Execution and configuration of map compilation software
o Check produced data, create new tests
o Check log files, check results on PC and navigation targets, debug errors
o Maintain servers
o Archiving of production data
Requirements:
? Master degree student
? Excellent communication and language skills
? Good English skills (L4 or more)
? Basic understanding of C + + programming language knowledge or know another object oriented programming language well
? Experience with databases preferable but not required
? Technical background
? Ability to work independently, strong sense of responsibility, initiative and flexibility
? Have strong self-management skills
? Related applications engineering experience is preferred, such as familiar with the computer graphics, geographic data and application development
