Report to: Sr. VP & GM Aisa


Purpose of the position:

Match supply and demand of CS in Asia Pacific and lead and execute SCM projects to develop the supply chain towards a lean and agile condition. Initially focus on organic plant.




Responsibility:

Describe'what' task is performed,'why' it is performed and 'how' it is performed
?Act as interface between commercial marketing / sales department and production to match supply and demand.
?Contribute to monthly S&OP process for NAC plant incl. weekly management and exception handling.
?Establish S&OP process for selected plants
?Find best solutions for monthly, weekly and daily management of demand and supply in an extremely complex environment with many different stakeholders and goals
?Continually improve processes and collaboration between SCM, Sales and Plants
?Lead regional SCM projects to further improve supply chain results.
?Support in training and development of plant supply chain staff


Technical knowledge base:

Commercial or technical background required (min. bachelor desirable)
Intimate knowledge of logistics and supply chain management and processes
Skills in participating in and managing international cross-functional projects
Leadership skills to lead plant supply chain staff according to regional SCM strategy without having formal supervisor role but functional responsibility
MS-Office, SAP-CRM, SAP R/3, experience in chemical industry, supply chain is preferred
Strong team

player skills required as well as consciousness of utilizing resources in an efficient way. Team skills include working in crossfunctional international teams through different time zones and accomplishing team work result progress without formal supervisor role
Align teammembers with different functions and incentives. This demands high skills of leading a team to a consensus driven decision
Role is one of the key decision makers and leader of S&OP process (matching demand and supply)

Description:The Supply Chain organization in the Region Asia Pacific has been set up recently and is still under development. The cross-functional interaction between the Demand & Supply Manager with Sales, Marketing, plants and global co-ordination functions needs to be established and process optimizations have to be defined and implemented. We therefore expect from this function advanced skills in Change Management.
