Official Title: CAE Engineer
Location: Shanghai Xinzhuang (shuttle bus provided)



Purpose of the position:

The purpose of this position is to provide first level technical support for production sites and projects related to CAE tools with first focus on Intergraph 'Smart Plant P&ID'. This position requires planning and coordination of all activities related to CAE engineering.




Responsibility:

-The CAE Engineer is the administrator of IT tools with first focus on Smart Plant P&ID.

-He or she shall provide first level technical support to production sites and investment projects related to CAE-tools.

-He or she shall manage all application related interfaces with German engineering organization when required.

-He or she will also support engineering project teams with all issues of CAE/CAD-tools from the conceptual / basic engineering phase thru detail engineering until construction of the plant and completion of the project.

-He / she shall control the quality of contractors engineering tools and data, data bases during projects.

-He / she shall support and realize P&ID redlining service for production units (operators of productions).

-Support Productions / operators with the generation of Smart Plant P&ID reports.

-He / she shall assist in the development of procedures for standard work processes including data loading, data backup, data management and concurrent engineering.

-He / she shall maintain database integrity and manage database improvements and customization.

-He / she shall administer user groups and accounts.

-He / she shall provide training to users on SPPID tools.



Technical knowledge base:

The technical knowledge required for this position requires:

- a good understanding of CAE engineering for capital projects of chemical plants.

- knowledge in technical or chemical / mechanical related engineering

- knowledge in administration of Smart Plant P&ID and PDS 3D

- knowledge in related codes and standards



Mini Education level:University or Bachelor

Major preferred:chemical engineering, process technology or mechanical engineering
Language skills:Very good English skills (written and verbal)

Minimum years in employment:At least 4 years experience in the engineering of chemical plants with a minimum of 2+ years experience in the application and administration of Smart Plant P&ID.

Preferred industry experience:working with Smart Plant Instrumentation and PDS 3D.
