Fab Materials Engineer
Job Description:
? Works with internal partners and external suppliers to ensure that Intel's materials (gases, chemicals, precursors, slurries, silicon, quartz, targets and consumables) meet technical, quality and cost objectives.
? Acts as the primary technical contact for both suppliers and internal partners in support of these materials. Responsibilities include resolution of technical and quality issues, leading materials related taskforces, leading root cause investigation, management of supplier changes, collaboration with Supply Line Managers to ensure supply line integrity as well as partnering with internal partners to resolve/prevent excursions and execute continuous improvement projects.
? Designs networks and processes that move raw materials and supplies into production facilities, transforms them into finished goods, and distributes products to customer markets.
? Defines material inspection metrology and methodology. Conducts studies relative to cost control, process control, and production yield and implements plans and programs to optimize supply chain.
? Works with suppliers to define requirements and holds suppliers accountable for their manufacturing process flow to meet quality, reliability, cost, yield and manufacturability requirements.
? Maintains quality standards and systems.
? Creates relevant specifications to minimize variability and subjectivity to align with operational and supplier capability requirements.
? Drives continuous process and quality improvements.
? Leads or supports material sourcing projects.

Qualification:
? BS, MS or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of experience.
? 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing industry is a must.
? Familiar with PCS, 8D report, MBPS, etc.
? Experienced in managing or supporting materials related projects.
? Hands-on experience in material sourcing and supplier qualification is preferred.
? Intel factory or support group work experience is strongly preferred.
? Must have strong data analytical skills, problem solving skills along with strong communication and teamwork skills.
? Prior experience working with and/or managing suppliers is a plus.
? Able to communicate in English and Mandarin.
? Able to travel domestically or abroad as needed (~10% of the time).
