Responsibilities

Main Objectives？

Coordination and Monitoring the product engineering / technical development process 
ZF is developing hybrid modules and electric drives for passenger cars for the Chinese market at our R&D center in Shanghai with support from our German R&D facilities. For our activities in Shanghai we are looking for a project engineer who plans product engineering / technical development activities for components of hybrid module / electric drive from concept phase till series production under the given restrictions in time, quality and cost.

Key Responsibilities
1. Built up project team from related engineering teams and sales department.
2. Planning project timing plan and following project schedule
3. Risk assessment for any important milestones
4. Organize project meeting (regular or spontaneous) such as workshop for the launch, design review, etc.
5. As interface between internal project team and customer project team
6. Control project documentation regarding internal and customer guideline
7. Controlling of timing, budget, and quality.
8. Coordination with sales and marketing team

External 
1. Customer, mainly Automobile OEM                                                              
Exchange of project status focus on vehicle integration
2. Supplier, Tier 2 or Tier 3

Exchange of project status focus on component development

Internal 
1. Engineering Teams
Monitoring the technical development status

Requirements

Working experience: At least 3 years related working experience or above, hybrid/electric vehicle powertrain/drive system in automotive industry is strongly preferred
At least one significant assignment of following R&D functions: simulation, testing, calibration etc.
Knowledge and practical experience of product engineering process for tier 1 automobile supplier or OEM (e.g. VDA, GM)
Education: Bachelor of engineering (electric engineering or mechatronics) or above
English: Advanced level listening, speaking, reading and writing skills   (CET 6)
Computer: Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, very good knowledge in Powerpoint.
