MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Designing and maintaining supplier evaluation, qualification and audit processes
Conducting in-process and pre-shipment inspections
Setting up sampling plans and related test procedures
Resolving customer issues and implementing sustaining corrective actions
Managing multiple projects at multiple supplier sites to ensure adherence to schedule and quality requirements by creating and maintaining project lists, scorecards and audit reports.
Qualifying samples and clear interpretation of necessary specifications
Have strong SPC knowledge and interpretation skill to train potential suppliers. Six Sigma knowledge is an added advantage.
Provide leadership to improve suppliers’ product quality and processes to drive productivity
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated quality systems and project management knowledge in the area of high volume parts production environment with at least 5 years of experience in the relevant areas.
Engineering degree/Diploma in mechanical design and manufacturing.
Ability to liaise with suppliers / customers and work independently or in a team environment.
Written and spoken English capability.
Strong communication skills with solid knowledge of local cultures and language
Self-motivated, driven, strong commitment and result oriented.
Self-discipline to work independently at Suppliers’ premises with minimum supervision.
Anticipate heavy travel domestically to various supplier locations.
