Position Summary: The Channel Sales Manager will have extensive experience and a solid success track record in new business development in the medium to large account market segments. Carrying a multimillion dollar quota the CM will recruit go-to partners, build pipeline, work with multiple partners and team to drive opportunities through a well understood sales cycle. The Channel Manager works with complex software technologies and is able to build and communicate benefits in both business and financial terms.
RESPONSIBLITIES/DUTIES
· Proven success record within Partner recruitment in order to facilitate “franchise” methodology
· Own all partner business and responsibility within “Geo”
· Manage, plan and direct all Corporate located Partner Base activities
· Engage other Geo based CMs to accommodate and assist cross Geo players
· Work closely with Reach and Alliance partners to plan and support all National Strategic Partner’s Geo based activities
· Assist Channel Enablement Team with partner training and logistics
· Engage with Marketing to establish activity and spend measure metrics, Lead generation service level agreements and reporting
· “Go-to” team member within the territory for all channel requirements
· Lead from the front in developing business with our partners.
· Help partners develop opportunities with existing customers and new prospects
· Communicat to partner business owners the business benefits of being a LANDesk channel partner
· Attend and participate in team calls with Territory Managers
· Attend User Groups/Marketing Events in the field when appropriate
· May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills and Experience:
· Demonstrated experience working with or for Value Added Resellers, System Integrators, National Strategic Partners
· Demonstrated success in major account development, relationship building, ability to work at "C" level
· Leadership experience in Direct Sales, Business Development or Strategic Partnership development
· 7 plus years of experience in a software channel development function
· Experiencing working across geographies
· Prior experience in building and executing a strategic account plan both deep and wide across an organization
· Solid end user sales experience, record of achieving and exceeding revenue and recruitment goals
· Proven time management skills in a dynamic sales environment
· Good Microsoft office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
· Excellent communication skills: written and spoken
· Strong organizational skills with ability to handle various tasks; attention to detail
· Must be able to work well with others as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience using Salesforce.com for opportunity management, activity tracking and reporting
· Experience in the IT Infrastructure Management or IT Service Management software space
Education/ Licensing/Certification:
- 4 year degree in Business or equivalent experience
May require up to 75% travel
