Job Description and Requirements Synopsys is the world leader in electronic design automation (EDA), supplying the global electronics market with the software, IP and services used in semiconductor design and manufacturing. The successful candidate will be designing, developing, troubleshooting, debugging, documenting, and maintaining Mask Synthesis software in full-chip mass-production applications for first-tier chip-makers and customers all over the world.

Requirements include proficiency in C/C++ programming and general scripting on UNIX-flavor platform, familiarity with computer algorithms and data structures, sound judgment in making algorithm choices, strong desire to learn new technologies, analytical skills in problem-solving, commitment to schedule, dedication to quality, and attention to detail.

Typically BS/BA in a science/engineering major, and 5 years of experience in related areas, such as EDA tool development, computational geometry, signal/image processing, Fourier optics, lithography process technologies. May travel to support customers overseas.
