JOB DESCRIPTION

Individuals in this position will conduct both primary and secondary research, collect and analyze both quantitative and qualitative findings, communicate and present research findings and analysis, and author Freedonia industry reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Under the direction of a senior analyst or project director, conducting research and analysis on topics such as supply and demand, demand segmentation, market demand drivers and constraints, industry structure, and competitive landscape, and authoring multi-client studies on industries and markets in China.
• Providing research assistance to US-based analysts in the development of Freedonia's World Studies.
• Providing research assistance to analysts and consultants from Freedonia's Custom Research Division in conducting custom research engagements.
• Completing other ad hoc business tasks as assigned

KEY ATTRIBUTES FOR A SUCCESSFUL INDUSTRY ANALYST INCLUDE:

• High proficiency in English. English is the working language at Freedonia. The incumbent will be authoring comprehensive industry/market studies in English, and will be working with English-speaking colleagues based in Beijing and the US head office
• Strong logical thinking and investigative skills
• Strong quantitative skills and keen attention to detail
• Ability to analyze and organize data into meaningful presentations
• Strong time-management and multi-tasking skills
• A solid understanding of market research methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in international business, economics, international trade, international finance or related field required, Advanced degree in related field preferred
• Experience in market research is a plus, but not required
