The Manufacturing and Supply Chain (MSC) Finance team supports a broad business scope including Surface, Surface Hub, Xbox and accessories, Hololens, and PC peripherals.

The MSC Finance team is looking for an experienced Finance professional to take the role of Financial Analyst to support the Manufacturing team, focusing on fixed assets and inventory management in China.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can partner closely with the business, lead key process management, enhance control & compliance and deliver outstanding financial analysis.

The successful candidate will be comfortable with ad hoc analysis, finance and accounting processes/systems/tools/modeling and driving impact.

Core Responsibilities:

Controllership and management on MS owned fixed assets and inventory at Asia CMs, including monthly fixed assets reporting, regular PI Count, etc.

Engage in fixed assets movement in China to make sure all transactions are in compliance with both MS policy and China Tax/Customs/legal requirements.

Partnering with US MSC finance/Accounting to drive continue improvements for end to end capital management process.

Partnering with function team to define appropriate business mode to eliminate risk and un-necessary tax/supply train costs for MS owned fixed assets in China

Development and implementation of fixed assets/inventory control & management training to business partners in China.

Various ad-hoc analysis and projects Requirements/

Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of finance/accounting experience in a similar large organization

Experience in manufacturing or supply chain environment strongly encouraged BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related degree

Experience with control & compliance.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple groups

Demonstrated experience in problem solving and project management with proven ability to drive projects and analysis to closure

Proficiency in MS Office - with advanced Excel skills & extensive experience using multiple formulas and pivot tables with strong ability to manipulate large volumes of data

Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast moving environment while conforming to tight deadlines

Propensity to learn and identify opportunities for improvement
