Job Description/Qualifications:
NVIDIA is looking for a System Software Manager to lead a group of top-notch developers focused on designing and developing Android Platform for Tegra mobile products. Ideal candidates will have a thorough understanding of operating system internals (preferably Linux) and microprocessor architecture, and are capable of understanding complex hardware and program optimize on embedded footprints. You will own prioritizing, planning, scheduling, and managing the execution of all tasks related to the design, implementation and productization of Tegra devices. You will also be expected to take a strong hands-on technical role where appropriate. To excel in this role, you have to be highly motivated, work well under pressure, have a strong technical mindset, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage a team of system software engineers responsible for developing and supporting GeForce technologies
- Use your experience in systems level software, PC architecture, and hardware bringup to help bring the devices to market.
- Proactively define and track various metrics in order to meet all industry-leading performance and power measurements.
- Establish relationships and trust through excellent execution, high quality, and exceeding expectations.
- Provide scheduling, resource planning, and technical task directions.
- Specify software requirements and influence the hardware design for embedded projects.
- Work with hardware architects on the design of embedded products, providing feedback and guidance on CPU, bus, and device design to ensure that it can be supported well by software.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BS or MS degree in EE/CS/CE
- 5 years of experience in developing complex low-level or embedded projects, including 2 or more years of management or technical lead experience.
- Experience in software architecture and design, particularly in the embedded space.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
- Detailed knowledge of operating system internals, C/C++ language, SOC architecture.
- Detail-oriented with proven ability to multitask in a fast moving environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements.
- Experience with embedded operating (esp. Android, Linux) is a major plus.
- Ability and flexibility to work and communicate effectively in a multi-national, multi-time-zone corporate environment.
