Powered by cutting edge web and mobile technology, led by a proven management team, and backed by a successful Series A round, B5M is positioned to become the most comprehensive Chinese online shopping platform with tens of millions of B2C products.
The Opportunity
B5M is looking to bring in passionate new VP of Strategy to help catapult the company into becoming one of the top four most recognizable sites in China. The VP of Strategy will report will work directly with the CEO on the following near and long term priorities:
1. Continuously evaluate new strategic opportunities and translate this into actionable tactical plans for various departments. Use market analysis, info on competition, business development and sales relationships to determine potential opportunities and threats to our revenue model
2. Develop business plans to launch new verticals and features
3. Grow B5M's presence in key cities
4. Determine optimal resource allocation within organization. Optimal short & long term revenue model
5. Assist the CEO in fundraising
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the perfect combination of strategic thinking and crisp execution. This candidate must be intellectually curious,enjoy thinking about business model innovation, and have the tenacity to manage projects with many moving pieces and multiple parties involved.
Candidate will also have superior leadership, organizational and communication skills to make sure that various departments are on track with their near and long term milestones.
The candidate should embody B5M's core values of accountability, ownership, entrepreneurial spirit and teamwork.
Qualifications
-MBA or 8+ years of equivalent work experience in strategy, marketing or product
-2+ years in a role of managing a team of 7 or more
-Prior work at an ecommerce startup or consumer facing internet startup
-Degree from a top undergraduate institution
-Fluency in Chinese and English
-Location
Shanghai, China with potential travel
Compensation
