Product Development
o Implement and lead a unified product development process by managing internal
and external resources, across countries and functions, from consumer insights
through to launch and post-launch product improvements
o Lead design and engineering teams to develop innovative and breakthrough
solutions to design challenges with constraints on cost, quality and
performance
o Plan & deliver product designs which meet specified performance and cost
criteria
within development budget and timetable
o Select, manage and maintain relationships with high quality, professional
service
providers
Team Building
o Build and lead a high performing internal team of development and technical
staff,
while also leveraging external industrial designers, product designers, and
vendor/factory resources to develop compelling new products
o Develop a performance oriented culture
o Fuel a passion within the team for designing and building innovative consumer
products that will improve the lives of millions
Strategy
o Assist the senior management team in the formulation of company strategy
o Create, in coordination with sales, marketing, and executive, technology and
product road map
Requirements
o Masters degree + 10 years experience minimum
o Solid experience in directing a creative product development team, combining
process management with the nurturing of a creative environment that encourages
new ideas and innovation
o Experience leading dynamic brainstorming sessions
o Highly entrepreneurial self-starter and manager/coach. Very hands-on in
defining
objectives and producing deliverables in a fast-paced environment
o Strong blend of analytical, decision-making and creative problem solving
skills
o Excellent written and verbal English communication
