Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) is a global semiconductor design and manufacturing company that develops analog ICs and embedded processors.
Primary Responsibilities: (1) Successfully lead linear charger and switch-mode battery charger IC designs from concept to RTM, meet schedule commitments with high quality designs (2) Design and evaluate analog circuits at block level and top level for switch mode battery chargers Secondary Responsibilities: (1) Mentor junior design engineers through instruction and participating in design reviews Additional responsibilities include: The candidate should be comfortable leading a design team of 2-3 design engineers, and be comfortable scheduling the design and evaluation phases of the project. He/she should have the organizational skills to be able to consistently meet schedule commitments. Requirements: (1) 5 plus years experience designing analog ICs: op amps, comparators, bandgap references, voltage regulators, current limits, and gate drive circuits (2) Experience with top level IC design and technical project leadership: floor planning, power-up sequencing, scheduling, top level simulations (3) Fundamental understanding of switch-mode power supplies and battery charging basics (4) Strong lab skills: intimate familiarity with basic lab equipment (scopes, meters, probe station, etc), experience evaluating and debugging circuits in the lab (5) Familiarity with Cadence design tools (6) Strong work ethic and highly self-motivated
