Position Description:
Manage the planning department from the functions of order fulfillment operation, capacity balance and management, inventory control and sub¬-con management.
Major Areas of Responsibility
? Coordinate the relevant departments (Engineering, Quality Assurance, Production, R&D, Purchasing, warehouse etc.) to achieve company objective (OTC, OTD, recommit dollars etc.)
? Monitor and analyze the forecast accuracy and dynamically interact with forecast planning team to reduce inconsistencies.
? Develop and maintain production plan for LG, FL, TZ facility and subcontractors within the guidelines of company corporate strategy.
? Establish production plans to maximize capacity utilization, reduce lead-time to customer, facilitate expedite, and smooth production loading.
? Control and plan company overtime according to demand, capacity and actual demand.
? Communicate with customer service and sales team to commit customer delivery and related expediting to achieve customer’s satisfaction.
? Team building and motivate the team member for excellent performance.
Primary Objectives:
? Achieve the company goal of SOTC, win the customer satisfaction
? Drive the continual improvement of demand forecast and supply balance
? Manage and coordinate the factory resource of manpower, equipment, raw materials to meet customer delivery.
? Coordinate the factory working time arrangement with cost efficiency concept
Specific Responsibilities of the Job
? Coordinate with relevant department to achieve company objective (OTC, OTD, recommit). Drive the review and action taking to close the open case.
? Review with scheduler team for recommit issues, team work to resolve any special issue.
? Analyze demand on a quarterly basis and identify inconsistencies with forecasts and actual demand. Work closely with the forecast planning to reduce inconsistencies in the forecast to prevent any negative impact on customer replenishment and customs variance.
? Setting up production control and material control system; continuous improvement of system and system execution;
? Develop production plan for TZ, FL, LG facility and subcontractors, balance the capacity, monitor the output can meet company target.
? Weekly review materials shortage list to understand materials status, for urgent materials, daily review and take actions according.
? Weekly review loading status (for the next 3 months order status) and verify the manpower status to give direction to HR for hiring requirement.
? Weekly review equipment status for the next 3 months status, working with related ENG department to have solution.
? Preferred customer urgent expedites requirement review and coordination.
? Weekly planning reports publish, include OTD status, loading status, manpower status and action, special issues highlighted etc.
? Meeting with US forecast team for understanding further demand requirement and special issues.
? FL SCM special issues handle.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Job Requirements
? Broad knowledge and experience in: at least 6 years or above electric manufacturing experience and at least 3 year management experience required
? Above average skills in: be familiar with ERP system(Oracle is preferred)
? Excellent skills in: fluent written and oral English
? Demonstrated ability to: project driving till closed
? Demonstrated ability to: strong business writing and presentation skills to effectively present issues and ideas to senior leadership
? Demonstrated ability to: experience in conducting research with sound analytical and problem solving skills
? General knowledge of: proficiency with PCs and software MS Office
? Experience in: SCM planning field
? Other:
Aggressive, strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Organized, Aggressive, and results-orientated
Education and Experience
? Degree or equivalent education: college or above
? Years of experience: at least 6 years working experience.
? Specialized training in: management training
? Active affiliations: production control
? Other requirements (certifications and so forth): PMP certification is preferred.
