Job Description
Plan, organize, and manage the Finance department and the various systems within the department. Establish strong relationship with the finance peers across the division and the support teams in the plant.
- Structure and establish goals and objectives for the plant finance organization which aligns to plant/operational goals as well as finance functional goals.
- Implement and continuously improve the planning & control cycle.
- Implement, improve and constantly monitor the risk and control framework in line with Company policies and directives.
- Acts as financial advisor, provide information and direction to operations and leadership teams for making key decisions in line with the business goals and objectives and for establishing overall plant policies & procedures.
- Business reporting : Prepare timely reports in line with Company guidelines that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in the areas of income and expenses and based on past, present and expected operations, for both plant and division management.
- Statutory reporting: Prepare reports in line with local requirements/guidelines.
- Work closely with the Materials group to organize and conduct annual Physical Inventory and cycle counting initiatives to ensure proper inventory control and accuracy.
- Prepare Capital Investment proposals and monitor fixed assets.
- Cash forecasting and management. Local treasury needs to be in close coordination with corporate.
- Drive analysis and support of plant manufacturing and administrative activities to meet profit plan goals, commitments and timelines (e.g. line item reviews).
- Represent the plant together with the Plant Director. If necessary, handle local legal affairs together with company attorney.
- Establish and maintain strong professional network in the financial field to ensure no oversight of relevant regulations, laws and standards.
- Lead, motivate and develop subordinates to ensure they are competent to achieve work expectations.
Job Requirements
At minimum Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or equivalent
- At minimum 10 years relevant experience, in which at least 2 years in similar capacity
- Solid exposure in manufacturing and preferably automotive industries
- Working experience with Western MNC is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience in financial consolidation, profit analysis, inventory and credit control management, manufacturing costing
- Working knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- SAP knowledge and could master its application
- Ability to coordinate on tax and treasury related aspects for the PRC specifics. Experience in customs and tax-related regulations and issues is a definite advantage
- Familiar with PRC and international accounting, treasury and taxation requirements
- Good planning, organizing, controlling and analytical skills
- Self-motivation, strong leadership competencies
- Change leadership and achievement orientation, assertive and result-oriented, crisis and conflict management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and high integrity
- Proficient in English - possess the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing using English
