Position Title: Chemical Raw Materials Buyer
Reports To: Purchasing Manager
Department: Procurement
Location: China

Position Summary:

This position will work in the Global Procurement department of all procurement activities for our rising demand for chemical raw materials in China. In this role, he/she will responsible for source/scout/find also new suppliers’ selection, evaluation and development, including enquiry as well as urging on-time delivery such operative issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Works with JK’s Procurement Team to achieve company objectives

· Chemical materials as raw materials used for inks, dye sub color powders and etc. purchasing and delivery fulfillment

· Develops/scout sources for JK products, items and/or materials within assigned commodity group(s); sends out requests for quotes to suppliers for competitive bids

· Analyzes pricing, quality, delivery performance, freight costs, physical location, and other factors to ensure the best possible suppliers are being used to minimize overall costs. Negotiates pricing. If necessary, moves orders to other suppliers for cost saving measures

· Awards purchase orders to approved suppliers based on the above analysis, completes cost variance log if applicable, and inputs purchase orders into computer

· Contacts suppliers regarding follow-up on orders, discrepancies, and various other issues, within assigned commodity group(s).

· Ensuring keep good supply base to production by good quality, competitive price and service level.

· Maintains vendor/item master and vendor master files for assigned suppliers

· Perioral communicate with JK Global Procurement team to share and learn best practice on Commodity sourcing

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

· English Communication should be fluent enough to work with Global team

· Bachelor’s Degree in Science, preferably in the field of Chemistry, material chemistry, chemical engineering process

· 5 or more years of experience in in purchasing/materials/supply chain management.

· Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

· Strong multi-tasking capabilities, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently

·Strong negotiation skills and interpersonal and communication skills

· Be able to take frequent travel mainly in China
