Bonpoint – JM Weston


EPI is a French family-owned group born from a major retail business in France. Among other investments, it holds several luxury brands having in common a very strong know-how and a passion for craftsmanship.

Bonpoint is the leading Luxury Children Couture brand, founded in Paris in 1975, now in London, Rome, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo, and present in China in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Chengdu and Shenzhen.

JM Weston is France’s foremost shoe maker established in 1891, having its own manufacture and tannery near Limoges, France. It opened its flagship on Champs Elysees in 1932 and is now present in Shanghai, Beijing and Harbin.

Other business include:

Alain Figaret, shirtmaker established over 40 years ago in France, symbolizing timeless elegance for both men and women, offering an unparalleled choice of fabrics.

Piper Heidsieck and Charles Heidsieck are two multiple award-winning Champagne Houses, founded respectively in 1785 and 1841.

The company is looking for a Finance Manager to support outsourced accounting services and control functions in its Shanghai office.

 MISSION STATEMENT
？ Support proper book-keeping boy our partner EY
？ Supervise payments and cash-flow management
？ Help prepare annual budget with local teams
？ Supervise financial reporting

REPORTING STRUCTURE
？ China Head and indirectly to each brand CFO in Paris

REPORTS
？ None

WORKING RELATIONSHIP
？ Locally: operation, logistics, marketing teams, HR
？ In France: Accounting, Finance teams, IT teams, CFOs of each brand

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIP
？ EY, our accounting outsourcing partner
？ Landlords and department stores
？ Auditors
？ Legal support
？ Trade partners

MAINRESPONSIBILITIES

？ Check and approve payments based on spending requests and proper authorizations
？ Communicate with landlords and department stores financial teams to make sure of proper sales revenue reconciliation
？ Supervise stock control Supervise stock control
？ Supervise intercompany reconciliation
？ Supervise twice-yearly documents for French accounting consolidation
？ Control cash flow, based on sales and expenses forecast and payments
？ Work closely with EY to ensure reliable and timely reporting
？ Support business reporting, maintain KPIs
？ Budget preparation and follow-up
？ Perform P/L projection for new investment project where applicable
？ Coordinate annual audit
？ Work with agency to ensure license Change and Renewals on time

DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES
？ Size of business will significantly grow in the coming five years and team could grow

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:
College degree in Finance or Accounting
Certificate of Accounting Professional (intermediate) or Tax Agent Certificate

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience in finance or accounting for an international company
Knowledge of retail business is a plus

Capability:

Hands-on and interested in operations
Excellent communication skills
Integrity and trust
Initiative
Strong team player

Language:
Must have good English skills

Age:
Late 20s to early 40s
