Responsibilities:

• Manage project to schedule with appropriate record keeping.
• Support to NPE in DFM/DFA analysis.
• Organize Alpha and Beta builds prior to full release to production to ensure that any mechanical shortcomings are corrected/improved prior to production.
• Develop OMS, assembly fixture and tooling for proper assembly/manufacture of product and problem resolution.
• Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and work space for maximum efficiency.
• Develop, carry out and evaluate trials to improve processes, increase production or improve manufacturing techniques.
• Design and installation of production process layout in production facility as defined by project and management including all required documentation such as OMS with technician & drafting support.
• Assist in training new personnel as required on new product build processes to optimize first pass yield.
• Active participant in continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• BS in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years manufacturing experience in a medium to high volume production environment preferably in electronics based company with printer mechanisms.
• Strong communication skills necessary.
• Familiarity with and ability to utilize job shop tools and equipment as well as materials knowledge/understanding expected.
• Ability to utilize various PC applications including CAD packages for communication and process documentation.
• Six Sigma Green or Black
