Position overview:

· Test hardware, firmware and/or software products and systems.

· Verifies that product operates as designed.

· Provides technical expertise in testing and product knowledge.

· Provides accurate estimates and reports of test progress.

· Writes Test Procedures and Test Plans

Responsibilities:

· Executes straightforward product test plans, selecting from a variety of established procedures. Performs all tests according to established departmental procedures. Notifies supervisory personnel of potential problems. Completes test activities in a thorough and timely manner.

· Documents printer performance according to established procedures. Creates computer data files and inputs data, problems, and issues according to standard procedures. Formats straightforward data for presentation in reports.

· Assists in the automation of relevant test procedures.

· Assists in first level failure analysis and root cause failure analysis as circumstances dictate.

· Incumbent typically requires coaching. Maintains the department in good order and takes care of all tools and instruments.

Requirements:

· Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks

· Working knowledge of basic job related policies and procedures

· Developing expertise, resolves most routine issues

· Developing expertise in Zebra products, Zebra test equipment, and/or Zebra test software

· Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments

· Work requires little to no review for accuracy and overall adequacy

· Has minimal role in decision-making

· Impact of error is minimal and easily corrected

· Contributes primarily through execution of defined processes and procedures

· Makes recommendations to immediate team to enhance performance and improve productivity

· Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice

· Continues to develop positive relationships with other Zebra personnel

· Makes recommendations to immediate team to enhance performance and improve productivity

· Associate Degree, 1-3 years testing experience

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Proficient with computers and competent with Microsoft Office Package

· Ability to lift 45 pounds
