Duties and Scope of Work
As Commercial Officer, duties and general scope of work on its respective scope will be:
- to participate actively in defining the project commercial strategy,
- to monitor the "VO launch phase" of the CP/VO process in support to the Commercial Manager and in close cooperation with Contract Management on his respective topics
- to coordinate with the CP/VO pilot, to prepare the price sheet (or support its preparation) of Proposals, and define the associated commercial terms and conditions,
- based on commercial feedback experience from previous CP/VO and in consistency with the commercial strategy, to challenge the pricing conditions in order to optimize the forecast margin of the Change Proposals,
- to ensure that all contract conditions related to transport, insurance, customs duties etc… are properly taken into account and adequately considered in the pricing,
- monitors the CP validation process and gets the approvals by the General Project Direction, the New Builds BU Management or the R&S BG Management if necessary,
- to organize and participate in CP presentation and negotiation meetings with the Client,
- to follow-up the CP/VO process until the VO is signed and reports accordingly to Project Management,
- to actively participate to set up, maintain and feed up a shared commercial database in order to register, archive and exploit the feed-back (REX) of previous VO negotiation; anticipate the requests which would be useful for the future CP/VO and for the settlement of the claims to and from the Client in view of the NI EP Contract’s final acceptance.
Organizational Reporting & Localization
- As Commercial Officer, the candidate will report to the Commercial Manager in every respect of his or her duties
- The Commercial Officer will be based in Taishan Site (China).
Requirements
Background
? Minimum of 3 years of experience in a contractual/commercial department would be appreciated
Knowledge:
? Experience of nuclear project or construction site
? International environment & intercultural experience
? Experience in financial costing methods and in drafting contracts
? Experience in negotiating contracts with a customer
? Fluent in English – spoken and written (including contractual/legal terms)
? Fluent in Chinese and French would be a plus
Competencies:
? Open minded candidate to work on transverse issues, and able to deal with any topic from field to project strategy
? Good relationship & teaming skills
? Rigorous, firm and with a real capacity of listening and curiosity
? Well organized
? Capacity of analysis and synthesis
