Key Qualifications
* The qualified candidate must have the following skills and experience:
* Provide a positive experience for all customers, and maintain a friendly, engaged attitude with customers.
* Candidate must be self-starter, but able to work in team setting.
* Normally requires BS, plus 1-2 years working experience
* Strong analytical skills and intuition
* Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, including complex projects
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* mySQL, scripting, & php knowledge a plus
Description
The Desktop Systems Specialist is responsible for providing operational desktop support to the AOS Sales and Service department, as well as various supporting organizations. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong desktop support background, including a high level of familiarity with Apple hardware repair, Microsoft Office, SAP, Apple business applications, Remote Desktop, creating and maintaining system images, and FileMaker Pro, etc. Familiarity with industry trends & objectives would be extremely useful. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, and be comfortable presenting to all levels of executives. Critical and creative thinking are essential. . Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work varied hours and days .
Responsibilities Include:
Track inventory of all desktop equipment
Place purchase order for new equipment as needed
Perform hardware repairs on Apple Own Use equipment (desktops, portables, and mobile devices)
Install, launch, and recovery support for Mac OS and bundled applications
Evaluate/implement solutions for business support. Anticipates potential problems, and provide possible solutions for management approval
Maintain a number of application and file-sharing servers
Able to lift 50 pounds routinely
The qualified candidate must be willing to work non-standard work hours and rotate on pager duty
