Oracle Industry Data Model group develops industry-specific data warehouse with embedded analytics, forecasting and predictive models for strategic industries such as retail, communications, and financial services. Oracle Industry Data Model is a DB EE product, and is the foundation component of Oracle Exadata Intelligent Warehouse. Brief Posting Description Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

Detailed Description As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Job Requirements Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 more years of software engineering or related experience.

Additional Details As a data warehouse developer / architect in the Industry Data Warehouse for Industries team, you will take a leading role in designing data warehouses for the industries we cover. This involves research and interviewing industry experts, developing specifications and designing extensive data warehouse data models and define business problems for OLAP and Mining. You will also have the critical role of explaining the models to extended development team, support, curriculum, documentation, sales, consulting and to customers. You will consult with and assist development team in creation and tuning of the physical models and development of ETL and reports. ETL Performance skills or experience in retail, communications, utilities, airlines, high tech is a plus.
