POSITION: Regional Sales Manager
The company overview:
Founded in 1915, the Company develops quality products focusing on four key environmental market platforms: Municipal, Industrial, Remediation, and Air Purification for the global markets. The Municipal market includes drinking water and wastewater, both important markets to consumers, Industrial market is very broad due to the versatile nature of the products, The environmental Remediation market recently expanded includes several bioremediation products, in addition to their traditional In-Situ Chemical Oxidation products, Air Purification where the company currently focus on three major applications: destruction of ozone off-gas, destruction of carbon monoxide (CO) and destruction of volatile organic compounds (VOC).
The Company's ongoing reliance on research and development, as well as its emphasis on technical support, customer service, and product diversification has enabled the company to become the world leader in numerous drinking water technologies.
General Duties:
? Represent Company Corporation in a professional manner, consistent with our image of a Corporation and provide value-added Technical Solutions to prospects and customers.
? Achieves annual sales targets by working with the Managing Director to establish selling strategy and tactics. Obtains orders and establishes new accounts; plans and organizes daily work; calls on existing and potential sales customers. Analyzes customer needs, requirements, and strategic plans recommending solutions with Company programs. Keeps management informed through regular activity reports and communications.
? Meets or exceeds the required minimum daily sales calls as set by the Managing Director. May be accompanied by management personnel.
? Calls on customer facilities and observes and implements practical application of products. Services assigned accounts. Recommends changes in chemical dosages, flow rates, or equipment. Reports changes or problems to Managing Director and customer.
? Maintains close contact with management regarding account activity, customer needs, prices, competitor activity, and product acceptability.
Role & Responsibilities (Cont'd)
? Develops and maintains a sales pyramid and other required reports or documentation.
? Responsible for reading and complying with Company policies on Safety, HAZMAT, Product Stewardship and shipping of analytical samples. Complies with all local safety regulations.
? Supports and is committed to Company' Quality Improvement Process and the guiding policies of Responsible Care Management System, and its seven codes of management practice.
? Conduct site surveys, which may include data acquisition on facility equipment and water quality, bench scale laboratory evaluations of product effectiveness/performance, recommend appropriate trial feed equipment and establish objectives and chemical dosages for new plant scale evaluations or customer in-use dosage optimization.
? Conduct plant trials, which may include install/calibrate/test trial chemical feed equipment, set up control program, monitor chemical feed, optimize treatment, and monitor treatment results. Collect and analyze data, and recommend the most appropriate treatment scenario. Train customers in equipment operation and product safety and handling.
? Submit trip, survey and plant scale/laboratory evaluation reports within two weeks following site visits. Intent is to document current situation in order to minimize future service visits and maximize time spent on site.
? Maintain proprietary information with Company technology, knowledge, and application experience. Intent is limit proprietary technology given to customers.
? Trouble-shoot problems with trial feed equipment or field test instrumentation. Capable of providing over the phone service 24 hours/day.
? Manage field monitoring/testing equipment and supplies.
? Represent Company Corporation at national and local meetings, conferences, and trade shows as required. Present technical papers when appropriate.
? Submit planned weekly schedules to the Managing Director for Asia.
? Develop case studies for Sales/Marketing.
? Identify/provide new opportunities for sales while demonstrating current applications.
? Assist in the technical training of newly hired employees.
Qualifications
? A Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or Environmental Field) is required.
? 3-10 years experience in pollution abatement technology, oxidation chemistry, or water and wastewater treatment is preferred.
? Management and leadership experience directing the sales, profitability, and efforts of subordinate sales experts.
? Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, laboratory skills, and mechanical aptitude are essential.
? Must be able to travel globally and eligible to receive appropriate visas to work globally.
? Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team-oriented environment.
? Familiarity with business fundamentals, consultative selling process, and managing the technical requirements of a key account.
? Bilingual (English/Mandarin)
