Global Sourcing, sheet metal, racks, drivers, motorsGlobal Sourcing Engineer ( ME, EE, Material Handling )

Responsibilities for the role include:

1. Implement detailed sourcing strategies
- Define, develop, and maintain formal documented strategy for sourcing, using market and competitive data for China and Asia
- Maintain a detailed knowledge supplier cost drivers based on commodity markets and landed cost drivers in China and Asia
- Identify suppliers to meet business requirements, ensure they are qualified in accordance with standard policies
- Drive supply base to world class through quality programs and continuous improvement processes
- Establish preferred supplier program based on voice of customer and competitive analysis inputs and build strong supplier relationships
- Record savings achieved during negotiation in accordance with standard policy.
- Communicate performance of strategy on a scheduled basis

2. Support development of cost estimate during proposal phase.

- Proactively engage with Project Sourcing Leads and Estimating Leads China and Asia in their front-end planning during estimation to understand requirements and develop sourcing plans / strategies
- Provide proposal support tied to the business area needs, including initiating Requests for Proposals (RFP), reviewing / analyzing responses and providing guidance to the pursuit team in the form of supplier recommendations
- Review supplier requested modifications to standard Terms and Conditions and customer flow down terms and, if necessary, enter into negotiations

3. Performance monitoring
- Throughout the performance period, communicate regularly with stakeholders on supplier performance, and take action when necessary to remedy unsatisfactory performance (support claim preparation / resolution) in accordance with terms and conditions.
- Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (state regulations, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, etc) as well as standard policies and procedures.

4. Supply Chain initiatives

- Assist in auditing business purchase activity in accordance with standard policies
- Support implementation of Common Process / Systems, and other supply chain initiatives as required
- Increase effective utilization and adoption of procurement tool set including e-sourcing, I -Many, e-invoice, catalogues...etc.
- Track and drive continuous improvement in PO compliance and sourcing efficiency

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
？ Proven experience in supplier negotiations, comprehensive understanding of commercial terms and conditions related to procurement of goods and services, experience and good understanding of supply contracts regarding management of statement of work requirements and supplier deliverables,
？ Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers to meet or exceed business objectives.
？ Working knowledge of technology, engineering, and systems integration practices in automation and/or logistics
？ Strong communication skills - verbal and written, ability to communicate effectively to varied audiences (cross cultural)
？ Self-motivated - able to perform role with minimal supervision, taking ownership and demonstrate sense of urgency
？ Leadership - strong managerial skills to work across all functions and levels of an - Ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives
？ Ability to work in a team environment to consistently achieve results
？ Strong organizational skills
？ Demonstrated proficiency in English both written and verbal
？ Experience in multicultural environment

Preferred Qualification:

？ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electric Engineering or other related qualifications
？ 5+ years of relevant work experience in strategic sourcing in a manufacturing environment, preferably with regional sourcing experience in Asia
？ Proven track record in regional sourcing in Asia is essential
？ Experience with ERP Systems is a plus
？ Six Sigma green belt, CPM is a plus
