Core Responsibilities:
1. Development & implementation of procurement strategy & organizational structure;
2. Functional head of all procurement activity & in-country sourcing globally;
3. Disciplinary head of sourcing function & procurement personnel globally;
4. Accountable for total procurement process, performance & operational strategy;
Day-to day Responsibilities:
1. Development of sourcing concepts & strategies to improve global procurement performance;
2. Implementation of standardized key performance indicators & process improvement solutions;
3. Lead organizational strategy & personnel development programs-grow regional & staffing capabilities;
4. Define global sourcing direction- optimize functional processes & establish global supply chain capability;
5. Align procurement strategy with total business direction & priorities;
6. Negotiation, selection & performance managements of external suppliers- leverage global activity & synergy;
7. Develop & implement global sourcing e-business strategy;
8. Establish regional & global sourcing best practice exchange process;
9. Establish functional compliance expectations & ensure integrity requirements & processes are implemented;
10. Lead supplier identification & development strategy to create increased competition. Establish sole source risk assessment process-lead technical supplier qualifications to eliminate supply risk.

Leadership/Supervision:
Education and Functional Experience Required

Educational Qualifications:
1. Master degree or above major in business, MBA is a plus;
2. Tertiary qualification in relevant supply chain -procurement &/or supply chain discipline
Experience:
1. Minimum 10 years working experience in a multinational corporation as a team leader of global sourcing or supply chain management.
2. Has experience in a logistic company is a plus. Proficiency in VMI system.
3. Proven track record of successfully project managing in new product initiatives

Skills and Competencies Required:
1. Ability to develop & lead successful culturally diverse teams. Sensitive to cultural differences;
2. Excellent communication, presentation & strong influencing skills. Excellent negotiation skills;
3. Excellent process improvement & change management skills: 6 Sigma (or similar) qualifications;
4. Strong problem solving capabilityable to analyze, structure & complex issues & develop operational & organizational solutions;
Strong strategic thinking.
