Main Role:
Support the development& execution of merchandising strategies for all of China.
Support the monitoring of results to ensure that overall sales, gross margin, and inventory targets are met, while enhancing long term brand equity & sustainable development of the business.
Educate the customer and staff to get good knowledge of Brand and merchandise.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Strategic analysis for corporate direction
? Support the MD manager in developing overall supply chain strategy for the business including
? Target consumer analysis (e.g. buying factor analysis, preference)
? Market attractiveness analysis (e.g. size, growth) by product category
? Competitor benchmarking (e.g. price, style number, category strength, customer overlap, store format and store service)
? Internal supply chain process analysis (e.g. clear role and responsibility definition)
? Consolidating all inputs and make meaningful direction for supply chain strategy
Seasonal planning
? Support the MDmanager in developing& managing the category definition, through analysis of product performance
? Support the MD manager in developing& managing the category role, through analysis of internal cross category performance
? Support the MD manager in conducting the regular category assessments (Overall & sub-segment level) from a sales, profit, and ROI perspective, through analysis of product performance
? Work with the MD managerto developing& monitoring the merchandising financial plan
? Support the MD manager in the development & management of the pricing plan, markdown plan, and in-store product related promotion plan, through product performance analysis
? Support the MD manager in deciding space allocation decisions through product performance analysis
In-Season Execution
? Support the MD manager in the management & monitoring of inventory from start to end, by monitoring sales, gross margin and inventory. Conduct product performance and product flow analysis to support the MD manager in making inventory decisions such as:
? Initial order quantity
? Initial store allocation
? In-season pull & push store allocation
? Transfer of goods
? In-season markdown & product related promotion planning and execution
Post Season Analysis
? Support the MD manager in conducting the After season review of the category, to measure, monitor, and modify the category’s strategies, and tactics process on a timely basis, through analysis of product performance
Producttraining
? Support the MD manager in conducting the product training to raise sales through increasing product knowledge level in store.
? Continues developing contents of training by leaning from feedback
Key Performance Indicators:
? Sales
? Retained Gross Margin
? In season inventory out of stock ratio by store
? It will be changed based on cooperate strategy
Required Experience& Skills
? -[MUST] Retail AND Apparel experience
? -[MUST] Smart & logical (consulting firm experience is good)
? -[MUST] Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (Test is required)
? -[WANT] Assortment planning experience
? -[WANT] Sales / financial plan experience by product category and item level, gross margin, inventory etc
? -[WANT] Allocation/replenishment experience of products to stores (can explain what is “Push, Pull, Push”? )
? -[WANT] Weekly Price / promotion management experience
? -[WANT] Experience of coordination with Sourcing dept, Designer and Buyer
? -[MUST] open and willingly accept changes which typically happen for new company
? -[MUST] hard worker, willing to work even overtime
? -[MUST] Excellent presentation skill
? -[MUST] Good English written skill, Japanese is a plus
