Shared Engineering Services is a new organization focused on investing enhanced design and manufacturing engineering for PC products working across business unit functions (R&D, Supply Chain, TCE&Q, etc.) and product teams. It provides the core engineering necessary to enable inherit quality and successful product launches from lab to ramp.

This position will play a key role in making sure the test/diagnostic coverage and driving the product quality improvement.

Responsibilities

· Provide in-depth investigation and analysis into the test strategy, diagnostic coverage and functional output of Notebooks from ODM factories

· Designs portions of engineering solutions to test and evaluate systems, equipment, and devices based on established engineering principles and in accordance with provided specifications and requirements. Identify test and diagnostic gaps, recommend solutions and ensure continuous improvement in overall test coverage

· Work with GBU partners to share best practices and drive improvement based on audit escapes and field failures.

· Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced testing and development partners.

· Participates as a member of project team of other test engineers and internal and outsourced testing partners to develop and execute reliable, cost effective and high quality test solutions for low to moderately-complex products.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

· BS Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

· 5 – 7 years directly related experience in test and diagnostic processes.

· Demonstrated experience in working in computer / electronics factories.

· Demonstrated experience in driving continuous improvement

Knowledge and Skills

· Strong analytical skills.

· Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

· Demonstrated project and problem management skills.

· Demonstrated problem analysis and corrective action skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate test plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options.
