Wanted: Creative, strong PR and Advertising leader for American Internet company

More than 230,000 students use our site to choose the best schools and connect directly with admissions officers in the USA, after which these students hire an agent or apply DIY. Our Beijing team of 40 professionals is the China branch of Zinch USA, which is used by about 35% of all American high school students to find schools and scholarships. We are excited about building a great company, but really driven by helping students and parents every day.

You will drive our efforts to make sure everyone in China who is interested is studying overseas knows about Zinch. to do that, you will direct our PR, advertising, and other outreach efforts. It’s a classic “build brand awareness and acquire users” job. Specifically, you will use PR, advertising, SEM, Weibo and events to get this done. We have a great team in place, and you’ll be able to hire more, and manage a substantial marketing budget.

To do this, you need to have real consumer marketing experience, ideally in industries that touch students, with demonstrated competence in PR and advertising. You need to be a native Chinese speaker, and have strong oral and written English skills. Experience studying or living overseas is a major plus. You don’t need any technical skills, but you need to be a power user of Excel and have familiarity with Google Analytics.
