Location- Hangzhou (or other locations in Zhejiang)
Summary-
The purpose of this position is to initiate, qualify, pursue and close new business with target organizations to meet or exceed pre-agreed upon production revenue goals within Zhejiang area. It is also responsible for, but not limited to, managing client satisfaction, retention and delivering profitable revenue growth for accounts. The client developer will work with a base of clients and prospects, growing and developing those accounts over time to multi-line of business relationships. Principally the role is focused on the top 100 Zhejiang-based Chinese enterprises.
Main Job Duties-
BD Management
?Leads complex sales and pursuit planning to develop new client relationships
?Identifies, qualifies and sells going-global solutions with target prospect and client accounts
?Works with the LOBs on market-level go-to-market initiatives such as sales campaigns
?Partners with the LOBs to develop going-global products and solutions to meet complex client needs; utilizes best-in-front LOB resources to maximize opportunities
Client Relationship Management
?Works with a portfolio of accounts to develop, grow and retain them over time as multi-line of business relationships
?Leads discussions of going-global related topics that lead to insights and actions
?Develops and executes an effective account strategy for complex accounts, partnering with the client team
?Facilitates and influences client decision-making
?Serves as a trusted advisor in addressing complex going-global issues from the HR perspective
?Leads complex, cross-LOB, cross-geography client teams
?Drives process for team information sharing and coordination
?Implements improvements based on feedback from clients to ensure client satisfaction
?Manages effective commercial relationship with client and team
Building the Brand
?Represents Mercer in local market, industry and client events
?Represents and promotes Mercer in business community, professional organizations and government affiliated associations.
Project and Risk Management
?Partners with the LOBs to lead and manage complex projects
?Manages issues proactively and mitigates risks on large, complex projects
Leadership and Professional Development
?Gathers, shares and develops best practices for relationship management and knowledge of clients, industry and Mercer
?Develops leadership skills
?Actively contributes to market/regional initiatives
Requirements-
?BA/BS degree required; Master’s degree preferred
?8+ years of sales experience with large and mid market clients; or 5+ years of experience in a consulting or corporate role helping companies design and implement HR systems and processes to support overseas business development
?Deep understanding of the challenges that Chinese enterprises face in the process of going global
?Proven track record of successfully working in a sales environment with significant experience prospecting, negotiating, and closing sales pursuits
?Excellent selling and sales strategy skills, including the ability to both initiate and close opportunities
?Demonstrated ability to retain and grow revenue through large and complex sales
?Proven experience in managing and retaining complex client relationships
