Main Purpose:
? Accountable for the achievement of sales targets across all domestic sales channels. Lead and develop Sales Management team. Manage top to top relationships with major customers. Work with Marketing and Supply Chain colleagues to support the achievement of KPIs in the area of strategic brand health and customer supply.
Key Outputs:
? Direct all sales activities for the achievement of short and long-term business objectives, increased profit and market control.
? Develop the sales strategy and execution process.
? Manage the preparation of budgets, reports and forecasts and ensure they are presented in a timely manner.
? Maintain relationships and negotiations with major customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve objectives.
? Lead and develop the capability of the sales team through effective use of selection, performance management, and reward and recognition to build a performance based culture.
? Work with Marketing and other stakeholders in the communication of market dynamics, competitor intelligence, accurate forecasting and strategic responses to opportunities/issues
? Work with Supply Chain and Operations in delivering key customer service, supply and forecasting requirements.
? Monitor customer service, invoicing, expenditure, payments and administration costs.
? Direct the development of sales initiatives, incentive bonus schemes and review of unprofitable products.
? Contribute at the Senior Management level and manage effective relationships with peers
? Establish and coordinate the sales objectives, policies and programs within the context of the overall business plan.
? Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards
Experience/Qualifications:
? Senior manager with 10+ demonstrated sales experience in a corporate environment
? Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or a related field
? Wine/liquor industry experience essential
? High level of strategic business acumen
? English language skills
Physical Requirements (e.g. manual handling, exposure to noise etc):
? Regular Travel
? Office Based Duties
