Synaptics Application Engineering is a multi-disciplined position requiring knowledge in both electrical and mechanical engineering along with high volume consumer manufacturing processes. Specific emphasis is placed on internal and external customer support with hardware/software technical customer design application support.

Job Responsibilities

• Interface with customers to ensure correct technical implementation of Synaptics BPD products.
• Resolve hardware design challenges in conjunction with key customers.
• Prepare and release technical documents.
• Actively support new product development and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with silicon design community to resolve technical issues in silicon and system.
• Provide PCB cad with direction and guidance for signal routing.
• Participate in product hardware and mechanical design reviews.
• Prepare and present customer training materials.
• Design and develop a hardware platform that enables EMC testing of BPD products.
• Work collaboratively with customers to develop/modify test software during new product introduction.

Required Qualifications

The qualified candidate must possess the following skills:

• Electronic hardware design
• Knowledge of magnetic and electric fields as it pertains to PCB design
• Circuit board design for analog and high speed digital

Microsoft Office proficient
