The Engineering & Project Organization:

Engineering & Project Organization performs a wide range of engineering and project activities needed to build, upgrade, support operations or dismantle nuclear reactors, spent fuel recycling and waste management facilities.

AREVA PIE– Manufacturing Surveillance team

Within Engineering & Project organization, China Inspection’s objectives of this team are to perform manufacturing follow-up for all AREVA entities (Nuclear Power plants, renewable energies, Fuel cycle…) and to become a renowned AREVA competence center.
This is an exciting and fast paced job position, challenged with delivering high quality components to our global projects: Indeed the inspector is a key player during manufacturing stage since he/she is the representative of AREVA at the suppliers’ ; therefore the inspector works closely with all departments (project management, engineering, schedule, cost, …) within AREVA to ensure conformity of our delivered products.
AREVA PIE inspection is headquartered in Paris, however there will be a great deal of travel in the beginning and on-going to our manufacturing suppliers in Europe and potentially US and Asia.
Supplier manufacturing inspection will allow you to gain experience on an incredibly broad scope of equipments such as reactor coolant pumps, primary and secondary lines, isolation valves, emergency diesel generator, station black out diesel, steam generators, pressurizer, reactor pressure vessels, I&C platform... This is a real opportunity for expatriation on site and abroad.

Electrical/I&C Inspector

AREVA is seeking electrical/I&C inspectors to follow our manufacturing operations.
Electrical inspector is responsible for performing manufacturing surveillance of electrical systems and components and/or related sites to determine compliance with applicable codes, standards, drawings and specifications.
Your responsibilities and duties will include :

? Responsibility of manufacturing follow-up (incoming materials, manufacturing, tests,…) according to applicable requirements,
? Technical support for manufacturing documentation review (e.g. FAT procedure, insulation and dielectric procedures…),
? Monitoring & reporting on manufacturing progress (expediting),
? Active involvement in Project Progress meetings and other regular meetings with customers/suppliers,
? Monitoring & reporting on Manufacturing Quality performance
? Analyzing corrective actions and NCR in close coordination with engineering teams, manage the timely reporting & implementation of such actions,
? Developing & implementing Inspection & Test Plans for manufacturing, develop, review and approve of process and work control procedures for manufacturing,
? Review final documentation, test reports and other documentations to ensure that safety and quality requirements are met,
? Ensuring timely processing of all Quality issues requiring resolution,
? Technical support to supplier manufacturing staff to ensure they understand Quality requirements,
? Assisting in driving a Quality & Continuous Improvement culture within sub-contracting.

After three months of technical training and mentoring the new comer will be, depending of its results qualified as inspector and will have several suppliers in charge.

REQUIREMENTS
All candidates should meet the following requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed these qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
? A minimum of two year experience is requested (experience in nuclear industry is highly recommended),
? Master Degree level with technical specialization or equivalent degree (Engineering school or universities with specialization in electrical engineering),
? Inspection’s experience in the electrical trade or completion of a formal course of training as an electrician apprentice, or any equivalent combination of training and experience,
? Must have experience interpreting technical drawings,
? Must have well developed leadership qualities (strong personality able to withstand pressure of experienced suppliers), alongside with good communication skills and experience dealing with customers and suppliers,
? Fluent English, both conversational and technical,
? Able to effectively work across borders & cultures,
? Good problem solving skill - ability to identify root causes,
? Good organizational skill (rigorous),
? Must work as a team but also possess a strong sense of personal achievement in getting the job done,
? Candidates who have knowledge about RCC-E code, I&C system will be preferred,
? Candidates with ISO9001 training certificates will be preferred.
