POSITION OVERVIEW:
The position will plan, formulate and coordinate various long- and short-term engineering projects designed to improve quality and performance of products and to reduce cost, waste and delays in operation. The position will evaluate, develop and recommend improvements in safety, quality, manufacturing equipment, layouts, processes and material handling equipment. The position will also evaluate, develop and oversee production of new and non-standard products.

Process Improvement

Reduce material and labor costs.

Work with suppliers to assure high quality product are being produced by KI suppliers.

Implement new processes and products.

Supervise/assist in the development of non-standard products.

Support and manage Global Sourcing projects for product improvements, cost savings and/or supplier changes.

Plan, coordinate and implement continuous improvements activities to improve key performance indicators (contribution, on-time, cost of quality, incident rate, net efficiency, safety, etc.).

Complete and evaluate a supplier evaluation for all new suppliers, and every three years, update on existing suppliers to assure the supplier meets the level required to support KI.

Review product drawings with supplier to assure the necessary information is communicated to the manufacturer of the product.

Identify go/no-go gauges for quality checks.

Work with the supplier in assuring calibration processes are taking place with measuring tools.

Be involved in determining proper test procedures of products as required.

When necessary, travel to the customer site to trouble shoot and resolve on-site installation issues resulting from poor quality, specification errors, or incorrect assembly in the field.

Responsible for helping develop manufacturing processes to support first time quality in new product releases.

Develop and maintain effective company-wide relationships.

Communicate status of project activities and issues.

Be involved in management and planning meetings.

Conceive, plan and conduct engineering analysis in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
工程系或相关领域的学士学位
Three to five years of directly related experience in a fabrication/assembly manufacturing environment

?Experience in a BPCS or MRPII manufacturing system
有在 BPCS/MRPII 制造系统的工作经验
