Job Desc: EAP Productization Engineer
As a member of the product team, you will concentrate on sustaining engineering for Red Hat's middleware product lines. You will be responsible for working with project committers and the program team to deliver defect resolutions for product releases. Working with Red Hat's Global Support Services, you will help to diagnose and resolve customer cases. Participating in a vibrant open source culture, you will be expected to help in product, process, tooling and quality improvement initiatives


Responsibilities

Participate in the product release cycle of Middleware products.

Work with engineering, product build teams, quality engineering, product management, documentation, and open source community

Participate in the formal requirements and engineering response processes to coordinate open source requirements/expectations

Communicate and coordinate with the project community the dates, deliverables, feature requirements, roadmaps, etc. of the product

Maintain the build mechanism and automate and perform initial functional testing prior to submission to quality engineering

Monitor, manage, and help fix issues identified during functional, non-functional, platform, and acceptance testing

Monitor and maintain the continuous integration builds of the products

Manage and assist in pushing fixes to the product back into the upstream project

Develop new features, including development of unit and integration tests

Improve the current build systems and testing frameworks


Requirements:

Expertise in Java

Experience with Git and Maven

Experience with sustaining engineering

Experience with open source

Ability to work in a distributed global team.

Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)


Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience with JEE

Experience with SOA or BPM

Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize

Experience with release engineering
