Archibat HR Asia is looking for a DESIGN MANAGER for an American Fortune 100 FMCG company.
The selected candidate will assume responsibility for Greater China Retail Design of 1 particular well-known brand. This role leads the expression of our client VIS ID and Vision for the brand at retail, as well as supporting the rest of their portfolio. Selected candidate will also lead the entire process of creating and ensuring quality retail designs from objective and design strategy setting, establishment and management of total budget, evaluation and presentation of design work to senior management for the brands at retail.
Job Qualification 1: Lead Strategic Direction and Insight at retail into process
Job Qualification 2: Apply strong project management skills, both strategic and tactical, for short and long term
Job Qualification 3: Focus on Design that delivers business
Job Qualification 4: Manage complex global retail design projects for great design and equity consistency
Job Qualification 5: Exercise Design Mastery with influence

The ideal candidate requires a Design background (Graphic, Industrial, Architecture), and must work well in multi-functional teams. Embraces change: candidate needs to be flexible in an environment of constant change. Engage and influence senior management and cross functional partners. Develop strong credibility at all levels of the organization. In addition:
1* Minimum, Bachelor’s degree in Design.
2* 5+ years of retail with shopper / in-store FMOT understanding; management and production experience required
3* Experience in the Beauty & Hair Categories is a plus
4* Experience in fast moving consumer goods is a plus
5* Capable of handling design, construction, technical drawings and site coordination
6* Leadership & Strategic thinking: Can make robust qualification plan via potential problems analysis. Manage technical risks while understanding technical, supplies capabilities, company’s convertibility and material / value engineering mastery.
7* Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skill in written spoken English and Mandarin
8* Self-starter capable of working with little direction and under time constraints.
9* Ability to manage multiple projects at same time. Creative thinking, attention to details.
10* Proficiency with design softwares; Auto Cad, Photoshop, 3D Studio Max and others a plus but not mandatory.
